I read the book by Ms. Judith and these audio lectures provide more in-depth explanation about the Chakra system. It is done in a scholarly manner that is very interesting. This book provides a synthesis of the chakra system and how to apply healing techniques as a path to self.
Lots of guess work and unproven psychology. Often says... this could mean this or the opposite. That if you have low energy here or high energy here it could mean this and the opposite of this... kinda useless if you are looking for any answers on what it is about these practices that produce results people have seen. Basically very little practical objective application to life. People who are into horoscopes, and the meaning of dreams and stuff would enjoy this book. Would have gave 1 star rating but I did get one small not about chakra centers being on never bundles in the body. Interesting but now what.Lets be clear though... I do believe there is merit and objective benefits to yogi practices but the approach mapped out in this book is far from objective. I thought maybe she would tease apart what is woo woo and what is real life but this is not the case. Lots of vague word use like energy and such instead of really describing the sensations you should be feeling... If looking for practical more scientific approach to fire breath I recommend the Wim Hof Method.
$30 is a very high price for what she is offering. I was liking it but thought there would be more information considering the price. Seems just like an overview. I listened to on Overdrive app.Also she mispronounced the word 'vegan' (Vaygan) I've only heard grandmothers pronounce in this way. She said something to the effect that vegans lower chakras arent strong because of lack of protein??!! Omg. She shouldn't speak on things she is not educated on. Protien isn't just in animal products. Wow. She missed the mark on that one. Took away 2 stars for that. Do your research hunny. Whatevs. Ok listen tho.
