Sharon Sala is a long-time member of RWA, as well as a member of OKRWA. The 7th book in the Blessings series does not disappoint. Characters you came to love in the first six books are still present in this book. Alice whose husband died in the explosion of their house, is starting to find a new balance in her life. She, along with her children Charlie and Patty, and Booger the hound, have been embraced by the people of Blessings, Georgia. Alice has a job and she and her family have a place to live. Her children are in school and life is starting to look better for them. With an approaching hurricane, Dan Amos invited Alice, her children and dog, along with Dan's neighbor Elliott, to stay at his house during the hurricane since it was on a higher elevation and safer. The reader will experience the stress of riding out a hurricane and the reassurance of being with friends. You might want to have tissues handy as you laugh, cry and worry with the people of Blessings.
I didn't dislike anything about this book. Small town life, in this series is just like visiting old friends. You hear from old friends and lean new things about characters you may have already met. And there is always a great love story! This was also a status review of previous characters (in a small way). I love Sharon Sala's books but this type is my favorite. She makes small town emergencies interesting. I always feel like these are people I could be friends with. The focus of this story is a about a hurricane the impacts the lives of all the people in Blessings. Loved it!
Blessings, Georgia is full of colorful characters, mostly good with a few bad characters. This story continues the adventures of Alice Conroy, her delightful children, and their bloodhound dog, Booger. They meet Dan Amos, a widower, and survive a hurricane together. Great story, with updates on characters from previous Blessings books. The Kindle edition includes 5 chapters of the next story in the series, Rainbows Above Us.I couldn't put this story down - it was so good! The Blessings stories are sweeter than some of her Harlequin stories, but Sharon Sala is an auto-buy author for me. You will not be disappointed!!
I always enjoy going back for a visit with the characters of Sharon Sala's Blessings, Georgia series. This book is no different. I can't think of a couple of people who deserve a bit of happiness more than Dan Amos and Alice Conroy. A truly enjoy small-town series.
This book fits right in with the other books in this series so if you are already a fan, you'll most likely enjoy it. If you haven't read the series yet, I would definitely recommend reading the other books first so you will know the characters. As always, Ms. Sala has given us nice story with sweet characters and very little OTT drama. What drama there is always clears up quickly with minimal fuss.
Lord Sharon sala can make me run my emotions like crazy .Awesome book can wait for next one please !!!!
Sharon Sala always gives you a good story.Action,thrills and suspense.I couldn't put this one down,had to finish it before I could get to sleep.I'll be looking forward to reading her next book.
I was definitely in the mood for a Sharon Sala and the town of Blessings. Her characters are believable, with faults and the ability to learn from their mistakes. Thank you, Ms. Sala.
