The guy is a used car salesman who embellishes and hypes well. Nothing new in this book. Do not bother.

If you are serious about online businesses, read this book. It clearly states that you must control the mind of your visitor in order to get him to click again to your site, or buy your products, and it teaches you just that with well explained chapters and graphics.
How disappointing! ... This book has absolutely nothing new in it. Each chapter is summarized in two pages and then followed by a series of inane cartoons that simply re-summarize the chapter. Imaging how complex and informative the chapter must be if it can be summed up in a cartoon. Dropping words like "Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle" and making obscure references to US Military Manuals (in the same breath as mentioning "The Art Of War" by Sun Tzu) and using hoary old chestnuts like Maslow's hierarchy of Needs and the experiments of Stanley Milgram left me cold. ... I read about these in first year psycho in the 70's.The biggest hype is in the Introduction by Joe Vitale ...Not worth it. That's my opinion.

I like yourself considered buying this book, but was very hesitant. I read mixed reviews even though largely the masses said it was a good purchase. Still though the price was high and the material incredibly unknown. I wish I had read what I am about to tell you. This book is not going to turn you into a mastermind(unless you are a rookie mastermind)It won't tell you how to manipulate people to worship you(again unless you had the potential talent to begin with).The people that complain about this book are the ones with little talent. People who are better off leaving this book to someone more inclined to build off the concepts. The author talks about subtle tips you probably have not thought about before. Now, who would this book best serve? Well, anyone wishing to sell something. Anyone wishing to start something and gain a following.While it won't tell you step by step, it will get you going in the right direction. The book does have comic strips in it which are quirky and fun. If you are the serious type, it will likely seem childish. This book will open your eyes to concepts that will benefit you, if you have a knack already for his concepts. I keep stressing this point, to make you remember it.You can also find this material in electronic PDF. Which like the professional I am, got my copy. Yes I didn't pay that price. It took me around 45 minutes to locate a legit link through ******* but I did find it. No reason why the working man can't have access to this material. With that, be well.
I am always surprised at how quickly people are ready to attack success.First: I am not affiliated in any way with Mr. Joyner. I am on one of his email newsletter lists (voluntarily, I might add).The people who have labeled his emails as "spam" must be confused about the meaning of that term. Mr. Joyner practices a very rigorous anti-spam method of marketing. His web site is very clear on this.The book is about MARKETING... and he used MARKETING to get his book to #1. Lots of authors give incentives to readers for buying their books - almost all of the SUCCESSFUL ones do. What are book tours, bonus books, and book signings about if not to "manipulate sales"?This is a very good book that relates some of the reasons marketing works. If you're looking for a "fill in the blanks" textbook, this isn't it - but it never claimed to be.I hate seeing an innocent man attacked needlessly. Please ignore the petty shots taken at Mr. Joyner by the "self proclaimed curmudgeons" here. Remember, "those who can, DO. Those who CAN'T become critics."

If you're on Mark Joyner's mailing lists, you know that he practices exactly what he recommends here. And that's proof that this is not theoretical guru-speak.One of the best things Mark Joyner says is that he advertises for free. This is very inspirational for small businesses who may be fooled into thinking they have to spend a lot of money to advertise effectively.This book could have been smaller and still just as informative if the illustrations were left out. I didn't find them necessary but perhaps some people need a visual illustration of a point more than others.My only criticism is it is more about principles to follow and not so much examples of how to practice them. For that reason, beginners may not understand how to take advantage of this information.While seasoned marketers may have seen some of these ideas before, there were enough new useful concepts that my mind was swimming with new things to try on my websites.I still get the feeling Mark Joyner is holding back lots of good stuff. But that is most likely because Aesop has lots of other products that help you put this information into practice. And enticing people to hang around out of curiosity is exactly one of the principles Mark teaches. He is a master at building long-term relationships with customers.
